Sharing Your Testimony

Sharing your testimony is one of the most powerful gifts you can offer your fellowship. Your story of how God met you, changed you, and continues to carry you can strengthen others\' faith in ways a sermon sometimes cannot. Revelation 12:11 says believers overcame "by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony." Your word of testimony still matters.

Your Story Is Worth Telling

Many believers hesitate, convinced their story is too ordinary or too messy. But there is no insignificant testimony. Whether your turning point was dramatic or quiet, it reveals the same faithful God at work. Psalm 66:16 invites us, "Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul." Your declaration encourages the listening.

The goal is not to impress but to point to Jesus. A good testimony keeps Him at the center and invites others to trust Him too.

How to Share Simply

A clear testimony often follows three movements: what life was like before, how you encountered Christ, and what He has done since. Keep it honest and specific. Avoid jargon that outsiders may not understand, and do not feel pressure to have every theological detail polished. 1 Peter 3:15 tells us to be ready to give a reason for our hope "with meekness and fear."

Practice telling it in a few minutes. Within a small group, your story may be the very encouragement someone needs to keep believing, or to believe for the first time.
